Ups and Downs in the "friendly skies?"
It's furlough time again! How much more can we take? Pilots are being sued for taking sick time, gas prices are rising, airlines are going out of business and CEO's are taking more than their "fare" share. Where does that leave everyone else?
Up in the air?
Our airline is now giving voluntary furloughs to 1600 flight attendants and we have 3weeks to decide if we should take it or not. While the idea of taking time off is enticing, the consequence of possibly losing the ability to stay in London is daunting. Its funny the way your mind thinks in times like this. When furloughs might be a possibility, its fun to think... oh, I will have one of those! But then, it happens and the decision is not as easy as it looks. I will have to give this a lot of thought... but then, as my husband says "replace your income and you can do anything you want." Oh, well. It was fun to think about.
