A New Adventure
I have company these next two weeks, all the way from Arizona and wouldn't you know, the weather is very cold and damp. But we will persevere! Nothing will deter us from seeing everything there is to see and doing everything there is to do. Not lack of sleep, achy cold to the bone chilling weather, early mornings, nor sleet (yes, we had sleet today).
When Nancy arrived at the very early hour of 6 AM, she was thoroughly quizzed by immigration before they let her into the country. After satisfying the locals that she knew me for a long time and that she was suitable company for me, she was allowed to enter England. We then hailed a cab and had him whisk us off to our home so that we could get a few hours nap before we started on our adventure. Our drive wanted to make sure that we were aware the he used to be a professional rugby player and had the photo of himself to prove it. Of course, he is now 74 and doesn't look at all like his picture. We are off to bed now for a quick rest before we begin our adventure....
